The Toronto Raptors had better get their All-Star point guard on track, or else this could be a short series against the Miami Heat. Game 2 starts at 8:05 PM ET at the Air Canada Centre.

The Toronto Raptors had just celebrated their first playoff series victory in 15 years, but they are going to make a hasty exit if they don't get some improved production out of the guy manning the point. Kyle Lowry is ice-cold, and his team faces the prospect of going down 2-0 to the Miami Heat as they suit up for the second game of the series, which begins at 8:05 PM ET at the Air Canada Centre. Remember that BetAnySports customers can get reduced juice wagering before the game, but they don't have to stop the action after the opening tipoff, as they can continue to participate using real-time odds through the magic of Live Betting Ultra.

Toronto Raptors NBA playoff previewLowry has been bothered by some physical ailments, including a sore elbow, but it would appear that the problem is a little more psychological by now. Last season he had a horrible playoff series, shooting 31.6% as his team was swept, and against Indiana he shot just 31.4%, even though his team made it through in seven games. But he went just 3-13 in Game 1, and you've got to wonder whether he's ever going to get out of his slump.

Did DeMar DeRozan encourage anybody? Well, he shot 41% from the field in the opener, but with just 5-21 from three-point range, these Raptors are a long way from being dependable on offense.

In the basketball playoff odds that have been posted on this game by the people at BetAnySports, Toronto is the favorite:

Toronto Raptors -4.5
Miami Heat +4.5

Over 188 points -110
Under 188 points -110

One of the big factors in Toronto's 102-96 overtime defeat to Miami was the fact that they just didn't get any second chances. Remember, this is a team that led all playoff squads in second-chance points in the opening round of the playoffs, but people also had to keep in mind that against Miami in four meetings this season, they only came away with 26 offensive rebounds. Well, they were absolutely dismal in that department this time, bringing down just four caroms on the offensive end. Jonas Valanciunas, who scored 24 points and added 14 rebounds, had none of those. And some of that was because Hassan Whiteside did a good job preventing the second chances, with 15 defensive rebounds on the evening.

Miami Heat previewWhat Miami got was another heroic performance out of Goran Dragic, the big point guard who had made up for a lot of his struggles against the Charlotte Hornets with a big Game 7 in which he scored 25 points. Well, he had 26 in Game 1 against the Raptors, but did his performance, and that of Dwayne Wade, as they combined to shoot almost 50% from the field, maybe mask a potential weakness? Miami committed 20 turnovers in the game, and unless you accept that as an anomaly, there may be some difficulties ahead for the squad.

The pacing in Game 1 was 94.1 possessions per 48 minutes, and that was a little faster than these teams are used to playing during the regular season. In fact, it would have fit between 21st and 22nd in the NBA rankings. Maybe that's something to consider when analyzing the total. Miami has played five of its last six games under the posted number, while Toronto has had seven unders in its last nine outings.

After that opening game win, Miami is now listed at -190 to win the series, while Toronto is +165 at BetAnySports, where you can get a ton of props and futures on all of the NBA playoff action, in addition to reduced juice wagering on all hoops. Plus, remember that Live Betting Ultra puts you into overdrive as far as in-game wagering is concerned, and deposits can be made with your Visa card, a person-to-person transfer or the virtual currency of Bitcoin!
