Euro 2008 Group E All lines can be found at www.BetWWTS.com Italy again finds themselves in a difficult Group, as the Czech team is strong and the American squad keeps getting better and better every World Cup. One thing, I will say about this Group, is it will not be fun football. I see Italy, and the USA playing very tight defensive and waiting on their chances to score. The Czechs can score and led their UEFA qualifying in goals scored with 35, but watch, how they go into a shell and come up with 1-0, 1-1 games against Italy and the US. Other than games involving Ghana, I would recommend you bet the final score to be 1-0 in just about everything else. The Italians still field a mighty squad, backed by Zambrotta and his 3 other Juventus teammates. At -150 to win the Group, I think Italy is a rock solid bet, but it will be very interesting seeing who between the USA and Czech will advance in the 2nd round. This American team is coming to play after making it all the way to the Quarter Finals in 2002. They are getting no respect and over the last 10 years have played very good defense and get timely goals from Donovan and Reyna. This is a very experienced team that has just come off their best year (2005) in the modern era, with a record of 13-3-4. I can see the USA drawing both Italy and the Czechs and beating Ghana, with advancing coming down to Goals. Italy and the Czechs play against each other last and will be playing tight football, while America can run up the score against Ghana that same day. The US got lucky drawing Ghana last and at +175 I think they are good value to advance. Recommended Play Group F All lines can be found at www.BetWWTS.com The Group with Brazil in it, the class of the Tournament and everyone's favorite to win: enough said. I am not going to go on and on about this team: They are everyone's favorites and we have heard about them ad-nausea. Well it's never enough said when you are talking gambling and I think we might see Australia pull the upset and move on with Brazil into the 2nd round. The Socceroos are a stronger team than most recognize and one thing you can always count on, is Australians playing big for their country. At +200 to advance, I see no reason why they can't beat Japan and beat or tie Croatia. On an interesting note, a large % of the Australian team are Croatians, so it certainly should be an interesting matchup. They have met each other 4 times, with the Socceroos going 1-1-2. Recommended Play Group G All lines can be found at www.BetWWTS.com I love France in this tournament and think they can go very far. They are a veteran team, carrying many stars from their World Cup glory and should sweep every game in this division easy. At -333, again I can't suggest making that bet, but if you were every going to lay -333 on a game, this is it. The only question here comes down to who will be 2nd in this group. If only South Korea can figure out a way to bring 2002's Ref's with them, they would be a sure shot at clinching this Division. But instead they are in tough against a World Class France side and a tough Switzerland. The Swiss played France twice in Qualification and drew them 0-0 in Paris and 1-1 at home. Advancing for the Swiss will come down to beating South Korea and I see no problem with that. The game will be on the last day of Round 1 and I think the line will be greater than Swiss – 150. So with that said, we might as well buy that line now and if need be hedge later on that game. Recommended Play Group H All lines can be found at www.BetWWTS.com Spain could not be happier about the draw for this Group. The perennial under achievers would really have to mess up to not advance in this group. This team is loaded with talent: Raul, Casillas, Cesc and Reyes should lead this team to the top of the division easy. The problem is, I can't suggest laying -300 chalk. If you have to play in this group, I'd rather you bet the Ukraine at +175 to win the Group. This team was the 1st team, aside from the Hosts to qualify and only lost 1 game during qualification, a 1-0 anomaly to Turkey. Ukraine will live and die on Shevchenko, the team's all time leading scorer and one of the most exciting strikers in the world. With both teams expected to beat Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, winning this division will come down to one game and it's the 1st for this Group. Spain and Ukraine have played each other twice, both times in 2004, with Spain winning at home 2-1 and drawing the Ukraine 2-2 on the road.
