Offshore Report MVPsportsbook.com has always rewarded its best sportsbook partners (sportsbook advertisers, sports book promoters and sports book partner handicappers) with gifts and prizes at the end of the advertising year. However, last year MVPsportsbook.com started a tradition by rewarding the best in advertising and handicapping with an All Inclusive Trip to San Jose, Costa Rica. Valued at over $7,500 per participant, the Industry Leading Event starts and ends at the San Jose Marriott, but over a three day period gives all MVP’s partners a tasted of the Very Best in Costa Rican culture. We will be bringing you day-by-day coverage of the 2005 event in an effort to communicate exactly what occurs at the event and to let you know what we found out about MVPsportsbook.com, its employees, management and owners. Day 1 - Sunday, July 10, 2005: After fighting through a day of incredibly bad weather (hurricane delays and such), the advertising partners and participants arrived at Juan Santamaria Airport, in beautiful San Jose, Cota Rica. After gliding through the painlessly arranged immigration and customs line, MVP’s staff introduced us to the first of what would be many luxuries over the next five days, a stretch limousine inclusive of a personal host and a wet bar. The incredibly luxurious black stretch limousine drove all partners one-by-one about 15 minutes to the Marriott, San Jose. Upon stepping from the limo, I was provided a choice of alcoholic beverages and had a beautiful young model dressed in MVP Sports garments accompany me to the private check in desk. After checking in, the beautiful model walked me to my room, where she departed asking “is there anything I can do to make your day more enjoyable?” As my mind ran wild, I simply replied “no thanks” and she walked away (I wonder how the other partners answered). Upon entering my beautifully appointed Deluxe Suite at Marriott, San Jose, I found the first round of gifts from MVP. I was provided a baseball cap, a large roman beach towel, a serving of local Imperial beer and a choice of several snacks (which were a nice way to wrap up a hectic day of travel). I snacked and imbibed and then took a nap till 5:00 p.m. The climate was perfect for a very restful nap. At 5:30 p.m. I wandered to La Castilla Bar at the San Jose Marriott. MVP arranged for a two-hour open premium bar where I was able to try various local beers and Cacique brand Guarro (70 proof local cane alcohol). Over the next two hours partners were introduced to upper management of MVP and the owners of MVP (Dalton and Matt). Everyone was beyond pleasant and made everyone feel as if they too were a part of Costa Rica and MVP. I was obviously among friends. At 7:30 p.m., the partner handicappers, management and ownership of MVP entered the Alcazar Salon at the San Jose Marriott and enjoyed one of the best dinners I have ever had. Everyone had their choice of Filet Mignon or Chicken. Many partners had both in an effort to get the best out of the trip. The food was first class. At 9:00 p.m., a bus from Trans Nunez showed up in from of the San Jose Marriott which took all partners, management and ownership of MVP to The Fiesta Casino in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Upon arriving we met with Mr. Nick Costas, Director of VIP Services. As we stepped from the beautifully appointed ultra-luxury bus, Mr. Costas provided each and every partner $50 in gaming chips. After accepting our gaming chips, Mr. Costas walked us into his VIP area and sat us at one of several gaming tables (blackjack, roulette, three-card poker, hold ‘em, etc.). Minutes later, everyone was joined by beautiful young ladies to help with conversation and what not. Beyond the company provided, there was an incredible buffet, hand rolled cigars made to order and a young lady providing massages to order as well. All partners were treated as if they were the highest of rollers. It is not difficult to state that WE WERE IN HEAVEN. Thank you Mr. Nick Costas, Director of VIP Services (800-359-6136; 506-352-2097; 506-220-1079; ncostas@fiesta-costarica.com; www.ThunderbirdGaming.com). After staying to The Fiesta Casino till 2:30 a.m., we all departed back to Marriott, San Jose for an evening of relaxation. As I drifted off to sleep I realized that I had never been treated as well as I had this evening. It is a night that I will not soon forget. MVPsportsbook.com had given me a top 3 day in my life (right behind the day my daughter was born and the day I married my beautiful young wife), and the trip was just beginning. Day two’s report will surely be incredible....

If you wish to learn more about the MVP Handicapper Program, email Laura@vo-group.com or Sandra@vo-group.com, or call toll-free to 1-888-771-9076 and ask for extension # 3219. Members in the program typically have their site developed by MVP graphic artists, have it hooked to www.ClickBank.com for credit card processing and then they are off to promoting themselves as a handicapper via online forums, postings, and emails. MVP typically helps cappers get started with the site, relationships and basic advertising. In trade, the handicapper has to be an exclusive advertiser of MVP (can NOT promote any other gaming company). While not a revenue sharing relationship (revenue sharing with handicappers is deemed unethical by reputable sportsbooks), MVP makes back their investment via client referrals. If you are a handicapper with a well developed brand, you might be interested in taking a look at opening a second site with MVP so that you can see how their site compares to your own. It is not rare that a person with 2 sites will earn 150% to 200% of those with one site. © Copyright 2006 OSGA, LLC |
