Online gaming operator 32Red has posted a 33% overall increase in revenues for the first half of 2010, up to £7.8m from £5.8m in the second half of 2009. The results, which cover all company activity from 1 January 2010 until 30 June 2010, show a significant increase in casino revenues, up 29% from the second half of 2009, although poker revenues are down to £0.4m from £0.5m in the preceding six months. Revenue from bingo and emerging products remains steady, with a 4% increase overall and the company has recording £1.5m worth of cash resources, up £0.4m year-on-year.
Revenue from new customer acquisitions has earned £0.5m for the company in the last six months, demonstrating successful trading at the company’s flagship operation, the 32Red Casino. This news will be of particular value to the company, is taking ongoing action against William Hill over an alleged trademark infringement on the bookmaker’s 32Vegas casino, which was renamed last year. This legal action has cost 32Red £162,000 to date, although it will be hoping to recoup these costs when the case goes to trial in the second week of October.
