We had reported way back in January 2008 that Bet247USA was not paying a customer who had really hammered them. Well, it turns out that this player did come to an arrangement with the sportsbook and eventually, he was paid the amount agreed to.

In January 2008 we posted a Bad Bet alert on Bet247USA.  

"Sharp player won over $40,000 in a short period. The player was initially sent two checks totaling $16,000, then he started having difficulties after he a prolonged winning streak. After telling both the player and us that payment would be made, the customer ultimately is getting stiffed the remaining balance by Bet247USA. '

The main man at Bet247USA contacted us recently and claimed that this player had been paid, that our report was in error. We attempted to contact this player from ’08, but he was not reachable through any of the phone numbers or email addresses that we had for him.

So, we asked Bet247USA for proof. This week, they sent us a scan of the cancelled check for $9800 from March 2008.. 

The player has apparently come to an agreement with the book on a final amount to be paid. The total payout was in excess of $25,000. This player did have some dubious dealings with the book and thus the final figure was agreed upon by both parties.

We had reported Bet247USA as a Bad Bet at that time but have amended the alert to include this new information.
