This year's Super Bowl Contest was another raging success for OSGA and its members. The contest featured four prop bets that had to be guessed correctly. Then the payers had to pick the correct score of the game. Out of over 1300 entries only 137 contestants played all four of the prop bets correctly. The strangest thing was that none of these 137 players picked the NY Giants to win the Big Game!!
This is the first time that we have run a contest where the winning selection did not pick the winning team of the final game. Thus, we had to go to a formula using variance from final game score. Stewart Y was identified as getting closest to the final score with a total variance of 20 points.
Congratulations to Stewart Y!!
The contest featured a $100 prize for first place to OSGA members. Non-members were awarded half or $50 and Stewart Y will get a check from OSGA for $50. Second place went to Bob B who also correctly identified the four props and came within a few points of the winning entry. Bob is entitled to a FREE $25 Bet at BetJamaica.
The four props were:
1) Team to commit the first turnover (NY Giants)
2) Total Pass attempts by both teams (Over 71.5)
3) Most Rushing Yards (Jacobs)
4) Most pass receptions (Welker)
Thank you to all who participated. We are eagerly awaiting selection Sunday so that we can kick off our annual March Madness Contest. Keep your eye on the OSGA website or become a member today to stay plugged in to all that is going on with off shore gambling.
